TaylorMade's Flight Control Technology allows you to adjust your R9 Fairway Wood to eight different head positions to launch the ball longer and straighter by changing the face angle, loft and lie angle. A new classic clubhead shape combines super-high MOI (moment of inertia) and easy-launching CG (center of gravity) position while Fujikura Motore 70-gram shaft with High Inertia Tip (H.I.T.) Technology promotes faster ball speed.

  Very solid feel, much more weighted than previous 300 series steel head. I like this feel but know I would have liked the TP version better as the upgraded shafts seem to be a bit more responsive in the kick. Highly recommend this R9 Fairway Wood.

  When I use the R9 Fairway Wood, I found that it is easy to launch the ball longer and straighter. And the playability is good. It is already my favorite wood.

  This is a great performance fariway wood. I have it in the 5 wood, which is also great off of the tee. overall-good club. typical taylormade. It is very nice, I will recommend this R9 Fairway Wood to others.
